What I want in Dirt Rally 2

So what’s the thing I want most in Dirt Rally 2? Organized multiplayer, or structured as I like to call it.

And here’s why. To me when it comes to multiplayer in racing games, there’s nothing worst then it to be based on user lobbies. Because you never know what you are getting in to, how many laps, what type of racing it is, what cars, and usually the admin changes settings at will race after race. Don’t get me wrong. That type of multiplayer can very good and very fun, but for example, in Assetto Corsa it just lacks for the type of game that it is.

With that said, I think Dirt Rally 2 would benefit tremendously with something more organized. Like daily events or weekly. A full rally per week that starts at certain time, give drivers scores based on performance and at the end of the season celebrate their best players, is just one way to do it.

GT Sport does a very good job at this in particular. And I think it would suit Dirt Rally 2. I know Dirt Rally and Dirt 4 had a few community events and modes that somewhat resemble this, But I want them to embrace it. Plus the nature of rally, being that it’s time based, driver ratings are not needed. Because you are on your own in the track. Various championships could take place too, like S2000’s, modern, 90’s. Almost every ingredient is basically there, just a matter of Codemasters delivering it.

Esports with a proper rally game would be awesome!!
